Miki is the founder and artist director of the virtual music series, Musik in the Air. Launched in August 2020, the mission of our series to create and bring high-quality music performances to our audience, wherever they may be during this unprecedented time. Using the latest technology and newly learned remote recording skills, we will bring freshly curated programs to you until the day our series can be attended in person.

Along with my colleagues, we asked ourselves the question, “in our everyday reality, living through a global pandemic, what can we as individuals do to contribute to our classical music community”. After several months of discussions, we decided to create our very own concert platform where we can be sure to secure our audience’s health and safety during the performances. We hope to create an intimate concert experience for our audience: sharing repertoire and different instrumental combinations that we feel are possible in light of the situation we findourselves in today. Reaching our audience using this virtual format will give us the opportunity to interact even more directly with you though pre-concert lectures, and audience members are encouraged to submit any questions they may have for us.
